My First Solo Sheep Hunt: Weather, Water, and 37 Sheep

My first solo sheep hunt in 2022 did not end with a ram, but it did come with 37 sheep spotted, rising water, hot weather, fog, rain, and a pile of lessons learned in the mountains. This was one of those hunts that reminded me success is not always measured by meat in the pack. Sometimes it is measured by what you learned, what you saw, and whether you still want to go back after getting soaked, tired, and humbled by the mountains.
